Rapid Fulfillment vs ShipBob: Costs & Service Fit
Rapid publishes a standard rate schedule; ShipBob customizes fulfillment quotes. Compare the same order mix, storage and shipping service before deciding which costs less.

Match the scope before comparing the price.
If your ShipBob proposal combines picking, packing and shipping, separate those components before comparing it with Rapid’s warehouse fees.

Illustrative monthly fee scenarios
These examples use the same model as the calculator. They are estimates—not current competitor quotes or an assurance that Rapid is always cheaper.
| Order profile | Rapid | ShipBob model | Estimated difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75 orders 1.5 items/order · 1 pallets · 5% returns | $203 | $326 | $123 less at Rapid |
| 1000 orders 1.5 items/order · 4 pallets · 5% returns | $1,598 | $2,810 | $1,212 less at Rapid |
| 3000 orders 2 items/order · 10 pallets · 3% returns | $4,550 | $8,170 | $3,620 less at Rapid |
Average 1.5 items means a modeled 50/50 mix of one-item and two-item orders. Unpublished competitor charges are $0 in the model. Storage conversions use 55 cubic feet per pallet and 1 cubic foot per bin; weekly amounts use 52 weeks ÷ 12. The Shipfusion model uses a high-volume example; the LVK model is legacy. Review every model assumption.

What to ask both providers
- How many picks and which packaging materials does my quoted rate include?
- Which fees count toward any monthly minimum?
- What changes if I use multiple warehouses or shipping services?
Questions before you choose a 3PL
Is Rapid always cheaper than ShipBob?
No. The result depends on your order mix, storage, shipping and contracted service scope. Use matched written quotes; calculator examples do not establish a universal price advantage.
What should I send for a matched comparison?
Share monthly orders, items per order or order mix, SKU count, inventory footprint, packed weights and dimensions, destinations and your current quote. Remove customer personal information from sample files.
Do the standard rates cover specialty products?
No. Peptide fulfillment, private label dropshipping, trading cards and other specialty programs use separate agreements and pricing.
How do I move inventory without duplicating orders?
Agree on inventory release, receiving, SKU mapping and test orders before cutover. Assign responsibility for open orders and reconcile both warehouses during the move.
Compare the quote. Then choose the fit.
Bring your order mix, packed dimensions, inventory needs and current proposal. Rapid can prepare a matched quote and a practical transition plan.
Switching standard fulfillment accounts may qualify for the $500 deposit waiver. Review pricing and offer terms.
