Peptide Storage & Fulfillment.
Stock Ready for Every Order.
Know what arrived, where it belongs and which units are ready to ship. Build a storage and fulfillment workflow that keeps product instructions, lot records and order availability connected.

What is peptide storage and fulfillment?
Peptide storage and fulfillment connects receiving, documented storage conditions, SKU and lot records, inventory availability, picking, packing and shipping. A workable program identifies each product, keeps restricted stock out of new orders and carries the correct instructions from inbound delivery through outbound fulfillment.
Start with written instructions for each SKU.
The warehouse needs a product specification it can act on. “Research peptide” alone does not define a temperature range, expiry rule or acceptable handling process.
Obtain the supplier's or manufacturer's storage instructions for the actual product and format. Record the required conditions, applicable expiry information and any stated light, moisture or handling requirements. Resolve missing or conflicting instructions before inventory arrives.
Product identity
Use a unique SKU for the item being sold. Include the compound, stated strength or presentation and packaging format in the product record so similar vials can be distinguished.
Storage conditions
Assign the documented conditions to the SKU. Rapid describes refrigerated storage, including 2–8°C where required; confirm acceptance and the applicable storage location during onboarding.
Decision authority
Name the contact who can resolve discrepancies, approve changes to handling instructions and make disposition decisions for held inventory.
Keep separate records separate. A COA describes the testing it reports. It does not automatically establish shelf life, replace storage instructions or record the conditions experienced by inventory. Associate the correct documents with the correct SKU and lot.
Storage and shipping also need separate plans. For packouts, transit timing and shipment monitoring, see the cold-chain peptide fulfillment guide.
Turn an inbound delivery into an accountable inventory record.
Receiving is where the expected delivery becomes warehouse stock. Agree what must be checked, which records accompany it and when inventory becomes eligible for customer orders.
-
Share the inbound plan.
Provide the expected shipment, SKU quantities, lot identifiers, applicable expiry dates, handling instructions and required documents. Confirm product acceptance and delivery arrangements before sending stock.
-
Reconcile what arrived.
Compare the delivered items with the expected record. Identify quantity differences, damaged packaging, unreadable labels and missing lot or product documentation.
-
Assign location and status.
Place accepted inventory in its assigned storage location. Give units awaiting review a status that excludes them from order availability under the agreed workflow.
-
Release the approved quantity.
Confirm the SKU mapping, accepted counts and required records before making units available to orders. Escalate unresolved discrepancies to the designated account contact.

A delivery receipt is not the same as sellable stock.
Inventory may be physically present while counts, documents or handling exceptions are still under review. Decide how that distinction appears in the warehouse system and the connected store.
Ask for the receiving-to-availability process, discrepancy notification method and review contact. Avoid promising customers stock that has not completed the required checks.
Track location, lot and availability together.
A SKU identifies a product. A lot identifies a production run. A location identifies where the units are held. A status identifies whether they can be allocated to an order. Keeping those fields distinct makes the inventory record more useful than a single total.
| Record | What it answers | Setup decision |
|---|---|---|
| SKU & lot | Which item and production run are these units? | Required identifiers, lot documents and the outbound traceability record. |
| Storage location | Where is the inventory assigned? | Accepted conditions, location mapping and authorized movements. |
| Available | What quantity may be offered to new orders? | Which statuses are excluded and how the store receives the updated quantity. |
| Allocated | What stock is already committed to open orders? | Reservation, cancellation, partial shipment and release rules. |
| Held | What stock is awaiting a decision? | Hold reason, review owner, disposition authority and change record. |
A simple inventory example
Suppose one SKU has 500 units on hand: 100 allocated, 50 held and 350 available. Shipping 20 of the allocated units leaves 480 on hand, 80 allocated, 50 held and 350 available. Availability does not fall a second time because the shipped units were already reserved.
Hypothetical example using mutually exclusive allocated, held and available quantities. Agree the actual status definitions and reservation behavior for your system.
FIFO and FEFO answer different questions.
FIFO—First In, First Out—prioritizes arrival order. FEFO—First Expired, First Out—prioritizes the earliest applicable expiry date. A newer delivery may expire sooner than older stock, so the rules can select different lots.
Choose the appropriate rotation rule using documented product requirements and reliable lot and expiry data. Define exceptions instead of allowing pickers to improvise.
Go deeper: lot and batch tracking · inventory management.
Make the storefront and warehouse use the same rules.
Map each store item to the correct warehouse SKU before live orders begin. Confirm how order status, quantity changes, cancellations and inventory updates move through the connection. Similar product names should never be the basis for an unapproved substitution.
- Order eligibility: Define which payment or order status releases an order to fulfillment.
- Allocation: Apply the agreed lot and stock-status rules to the approved SKU and quantity.
- Packing: Use documented labeling, protective packaging and any temperature-sensitive shipment instructions.
- Shipment confirmation: Return tracking through the configured connection and reconcile the inventory movement.
Rapid supports connected ecommerce workflows, including Shopify and WooCommerce. Confirm the available connection method and configuration requirements for your shopping cart during onboarding. Review the fulfillment integrations.

Build a hold-and-review process before you need it.
Damaged units, count discrepancies, missing records and storage exceptions need an owner and a documented response. Identify the affected quantity and lot, prevent allocation where appropriate, preserve the available evidence and notify the designated contact.
Release, continued hold, removal or another disposition should follow the responsible party's documented decision. Inventory should not silently return to available stock because someone corrected a count or closed a support ticket.
Count discrepancies
Compare the recorded quantity with a physical count, review movements and reservations, and record the reason for an authorized adjustment.
Returned stock
Define the account's returns policy and handling process. A parcel coming back to the warehouse should not automatically return its contents to available inventory.
Storage exceptions
Identify affected stock, preserve available records and follow the agreed review process. The warehouse should not guess whether product remains suitable.
Agree record access and retention requirements in advance. The needed records may include receiving checks, lot movements, inventory adjustments, storage evidence, order history and disposition decisions. Build the procedures with the peptide fulfillment SOP guide.
Price the storage model and the order workflow.
Client-owned inventory, qualifying on-demand products and hybrid accounts can have different storage and operating charges. Ask which model applies to each SKU and separate fixed costs from per-order services.
Request an itemized quote for applicable receiving, storage, picking, labeling, materials, postage and configuration. Specify typical vial counts, packed dimensions and weights, expected monthly orders and destinations. Confirm whether special handling, reporting or monitoring adds a charge.

Peptide Storage and Fulfillment FAQs
What is peptide storage and fulfillment?
Peptide storage and fulfillment connects receiving, documented storage conditions, SKU and lot records, inventory availability, order picking, packing and shipping for approved peptide products. The aim is to keep the right stock identifiable and eligible for the right orders.
What temperature should research peptides be stored at?
Use the supplier's or manufacturer's documented instructions for the specific SKU and product format. There is no universal storage setting for all research peptides. Rapid describes refrigerated storage, including 2–8°C where required; confirm acceptance and the assigned conditions before sending inventory.
Can I assume lyophilized and liquid products use the same storage plan?
No. Record the actual product format and its written handling requirements. Do not copy instructions from a different format, supplier or SKU. Resolve missing or conflicting requirements with the responsible product owner before receiving or shipping stock.
What information should accompany an inbound delivery?
Provide the expected shipment details, SKU list, quantities, lot identifiers, applicable expiry information, storage instructions and required supporting documents. Include a contact who can resolve discrepancies or approve inventory disposition.
What is the difference between on-hand and available inventory?
On-hand inventory is the physical stock recorded in the warehouse. Available inventory excludes units that cannot be offered to new orders, such as allocated or held stock under the agreed inventory rules. Define the exact statuses and storefront synchronization rules during setup.
Should peptide inventory use FIFO or FEFO?
FIFO prioritizes arrival order. FEFO prioritizes the earliest applicable expiry date. Choose the rule using the product's documented requirements and reliable lot and expiry data. The methods can select different lots, so agree the rule before launch.
How should damaged or undocumented inventory be handled?
Keep affected units out of available stock, identify the SKU and lot, preserve the relevant records and notify the designated contact. Follow the agreed review and disposition process instead of mixing the units into sellable inventory.
Does a COA establish shelf life or storage conditions?
A COA provides the test information stated for its sample or lot. It is not automatically a stability study, shelf-life determination or record of warehouse conditions. Retain storage instructions, applicable expiry information and lot-specific COAs as distinct records.
Does refrigerated storage guarantee cold-chain delivery?
No. Warehouse storage and shipping are separate parts of the handling plan. Define the approved packaging, carrier service, dispatch schedule and any monitoring needed for the shipment. A two-day service name alone does not prove temperature control.
Can Rapid fulfill both owned inventory and dropship products?
Rapid supports qualifying client-owned, on-demand and hybrid models. Identify the source and approved workflow for every SKU, and confirm how availability, lot records, storage charges and split shipments are handled for the account.
How is peptide storage and fulfillment priced?
Request an itemized quote separating applicable storage, receiving, picking, labeling, packaging, postage and account services. Confirm the inventory model and which materials or handling steps are included. A pick-and-pack rate alone is not an all-in storage and shipped-order price.
What should I send Rapid to scope my account?
Send your SKU and lot profile, documented handling instructions, expected inbound quantities, inventory model, monthly orders, typical order contents, sales channels, destinations and any reporting or record-retention requirements.
